booster is getting much tougher to locate and the pricing has gone up.
We are now only providing the listing as an option to our valued
customers who may be in need of this part. This item is currently on the
order by request status. This means that when you place an order the
supplier expedites a shipment of the booster for us. Purchasing this
part is an acknowledgement of this process and agreement to any extra
delay. We show a delay but it normally is not too long. Contact me if

it may vary a little. As long as you are just in the process of
accumulating parts for your upgrade or swap, this is usually not an
issue for most but make that decision before you make the purchase
because we cannot stop the order once placed and paid for.

booster prior to your purchase. Many of our buyers will actually paint
the booster so any variations to the finish is usually not a problem. If

listing. Most sellers will not show a picture of the actual booster but
normally only post a stock image. These boosters are a high quality
reman product that have been professionally reworked with new internal

details:

This
is a quality remanufactured /rebuilt brake booster for the 93 Mustang
Cobra fitment. It comes with a new vacuum check valve installed (some
black plastic, some black & gray).
It is listed to fit the 93 Mustang Cobra. It will also work on the
1987-1993 Mustang when performing a SN95 or 1993 Cobra brake conversion.
With some extra provisions you can get it to work on the earlier 79-86
cars. This booster is larger than the earlier 87-93 non-Cobra booster
and will provide additional brake assist for your larger brake upgrade.
Depending on your year and model you may need to make a fitment
provision to get this to properly bolt-up to your firewall. This is more
of an issue for the earlier 79-86 cars. Also it does not come with any
retaining nuts. Depending on your model year you may be able to reuse
your original retaining nuts. Also reuse your original master cylinder
retaining nuts. Worst case you will need to obtain the correct retaining nuts, lock washers etc. Direct fitment for the 93 Mustang Cobra.

Pictures & the finish:
There may be minor variations to the posted pictures. Posted pictures
are from from recent sales of the actual booster although they normally
all look similar. First 6 pictures are from one of our recent sales.
Because they are a rebuilt original booster, some may have minor marks
from handling and working on them. They do a nice job but they are
working with original factory cores that can be up to 25+ years old at
this point. Some may show signs of where there was rust on the case.
This can be a common problem on a booster when there was an old brake
fluid leak or fluid spillage. Brake fluid can quickly remove paint and
then the bare metal can start to rust. If left unprotected long enough
you will have minor pitting to the finish. When they rework them you may
see some of these signs of prior rusted or pitted areas. If you paint
the booster with a quality paint it will minimize any of these blemishes
to the finish. All have been blasted and painted as shown but I would
not call them show-car quality. Just want to point this out ahead of
time. We will list updated photos when possible. Contact me with

1993 Cobra Brake Booster
this is a direct replacement booster specific to the SVT 1993
Cobra & 1993 Cobra R Models. These
boosters can also be used as an upgrade on the 1987-1993 Mustang 5.0
applications. The 1993 Cobra booster is a slightly larger booster for
increased performance, so it is a good upgrade for factory Mustang brake
boosters when rear disc brakes are utilized. This booster is primarily
used as an upgrade to increase power assist on fox Mustangs that have
been upgraded to larger 4-wheel disc brakes.
Each Cobra brake booster is completely inspected, rebuilt and tested to
ensure proper fit and function.

Installation Note
– This is the correct brake booster for the 1993 Cobra. It can also be
used in 1987-1993 applications with slight modifications. These
modifications could include slotting or slightly enlarging the mounting
holes in your firewall and even
massaging the strut tower for clearance.You will need to determine if
these modifications are worth the effort for your project. Be aware that
the only direct fit booster option is the one designed for the specific
model year you have. As an example this means that if you have a 1987
model Mustang then you would use a 1987 booster for an exact fit. Most
will agree that the extra effort to install the 93 booster is well worth
the trouble of the minor modifications to get it to fit. Also be aware
it is much easier to fit the 93 booster than trying to fit a 94 or 95
booster. Those are physically even bigger and require more effort and
more massaging.
